Wilma Jean (Roland) Miller

Wilma Jean Roland Miller, age 85 of West Jefferson, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at her home. Mrs. Miller was born on March 30, 1936 in Ashe County to Emma Roland. She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Bob Ray, her first husband, Sam Dancy, her second husband, Herbert Miller, and a brother, James Ray.

She was a member of Flat Grove Baptist Church.

Mrs. Miller is survived by:  one daughter, Patricia Graybeal of Banner Elk; one sister, Anna Mae Ray of Sparta; her caregivers, nephew, Jimmy Romans and family friend, Dana Lange; also surviving are two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Tommy Dollar and Rev. Joey McClure. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.
