William Gregory Howell

Mr. William Gregory “Pete” Howell, age 60 of Jefferson, died on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Mr. Howell was born on February 18, 1959 in Ashe County to Charles and Maggie Harless Howell. He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents, Arthur “Alt” and Guessie Howell and George and Ida Harless.

Mr. Howell was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was a member of Jefferson Fire Department. Mr. Howell enjoyed fishing and loved his cat “Baby”. He loved his family very much, especially his significant other, Diane Severt.

Mr. Howell is survived by:  two sisters, Debbie Wilcox of West Jefferson and Tammy Howell of Crumpler; one brother, Ricky Howell of Wilkesboro; special friend, Diane Severt; nieces and nephews, Adam Howell, Rianna Barker, Brian Stanley, Derrick Stanley, and Ryder Howell.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Friendship Baptist Church by Rev. Ken Jones and Rev. Mark Harless. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 13, 2019 prior to the funeral service at Friendship Baptist Church.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the family, in care of Ashelawn Memorial Chapel, 3470 US Highway 221 North, Jefferson, NC 28640.
