Tony Allen Johnson, age 55 of Warrensville, passed away on Sunday, July 31 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mr. Johnson was born on April 2, 1967, in Ashe County, North Carolina to the late Roy and Geneva Johnson. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Joe Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was a friend to many and knew no strangers. He had a passion for gun trading, driving big trucks, and playing the guitar. Tony worked as a truck driver for Holler and Greene Produce company and he loved his job there very much. He was well known for being willing to give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He was committed to and loved spending time with his family, specifically joking around with all the kids. However, his greatest pride and joy were his grandkids.
Mr. Johnson will forever be remembered by daughter Amanda Johnson (Mikey Bennett) and grandchildren Jasmine Hernandez and Tucker David Allen Bennett of the home, son Dalton Johnson of Lansing, sisters Peggy Sturgill (Charles Sturgill) of West Jefferson, Loretta Lyalls (Shannon Lyalls) of West Jefferson, brother Willie Johnson (Kim Johnson) of Jefferson, and several special nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 5:00pm at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Junior Seatz, Rev. Michael McElhaney and Rev. J.D. Walton. Burial will follow in the Bald Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00-5:00pm one hour prior to the service.

The family will be meeting at the home of his sister, Peggy Sturgill at 1174 Hwy. 194, West Jefferson, NC 28694.
