Steven Douglas Roark

Steven Douglas Roark, age 45 of West Jefferson, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Watauga Medical Center.  Steve was born July 10, 1976 in Mtn. City, TN to the late Paul and Betty Sue McCulloch Roark.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his grandparents and brother-in-law, Tony Yoggerst.  Steve was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who worked hard to provide for his family.  He enjoyed playing golf, watching sports and dirt track racing. Steve also enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends and vacationing with them.  He was known for his smile and outgoing personality.  Steve was a good and caring friend and was known by the nickname “Worm” to many.  He was one of a kind and will never be forgotten.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 -2:00 pm prior to the service at Badger Funeral Home.

Mr. Roark is survived by, his wife, Amy Keen Roark, two sons, Cody Keen and fiance` Kelcie Hossman of Nashville, TN and Trent Roark and wife Faith of West Jefferson, grandchildren, Cameron Keen, Aiden, Jace and Ember Hossman, brother, Michael Roark of Creston and sister, Susie Yoggerst of Mtn. City, TN. Several nieces, nephews and dear friends also survive.
