Ruth Clemmy (Miller) Powers

Ruth Miller Powers, age 96 of Warrensville, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Margate Health & Rehab Center.  Mrs. Powers was born January 27, 1925 in Ashe County to the late Carl and Bessie Faircloth Miller.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Vernie Powers and sisters, Lucille Osborne, Elsie Bowen, Thelma May and Dorothy Parsons.  Ruth was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.  She enjoyed working on crafts.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, January 24, 2022 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Tommy Dollar.  Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm prior to the service.

Mrs. Powers is survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church.
