Ricky James Mahaffey

Ricky James Mahaffey age 52 of Lansing passed away Thursday, October 22, 2020 at his home. Mr. Mahaffey was born in Ashe County in August 26, 1968 to the late Worth and Mary Belle Blevins Mahaffey. He was preceded in death by his father. Ricky was an avid sports fan and when his health allowed he enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 27 2020 at 11:00am at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Terry Mahaffey. Burial will follow in the Clark Cemetery. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral service.

Mr. Mahaffey is survived by: his mother, Mary Belle Mahaffey of the home; two sisters, Virginia Miller of Lansing and June Bowers of Crumpler; two brothers, Jerry Mahaffey of Hayes and Terry Mahaffey of Lansing; several nieces and nephews also survive.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family, c/o Ashelawn Memorial Chapel, 3470 US Hwy 221 North in Jefferson.
