Richard Burnside Cahoon

Mr. Richard Burnside Cahoon, age 80 of Crumpler, NC died on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at his home. Mr. Cahoon was born on April 5, 1937 in Hopkinton, Rhode Island to Howard Wilson and Ella Bolger Cahoon. Mr. Cahoon was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a daughter, Linda Cahoon. Mr. Cahoon retired from the United States Air Force. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Mr. Cahoon worked for Ashe Memorial Hospital after retirement from the Air Force.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 12:00 pm at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church by Father James Stuhrenberg. Entombment will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum of Prayer with military rites.

Mr. Cahoon is survived by: His wife of 40 years, Hwan Sun Nam Cahoon; Sister, Nancy Cahoon of Florida; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
