On Thursday, December 14, 2017, God called Randy James Reeves also known as "Rondy", a man known for his big and contagious smile home to take his eternal rest. Those who knew Randy remember him for his love of music, and enjoyment of hunting and fishing. Randy was born on March 2, 1948 in Ashe County to the late Garnett and Effie Hamilton Reeves.  When his health allowed he attended Cox’s Grove Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, brothers, William “Pete” (Joyce) Hamilton, Herbert Hamilton, Rex (Alma) Hamilton, sisters, Thelma Reeves, Janet (Ira) Chappell and special niece, Shelia “Ann” Reeves.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 11:00 am at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Cox’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am prior to the service.

Randy leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Timothy Reeves of Johnson City, TN; two daughters, Amber Reeves of Williamston, SC and Stephanie Birmingham and husband Matt of Fayetteville, GA; grandchildren, Brayden and Kellan Birmingham; special nieces and nephews, Michelle Merlos, Thomas Hamilton, Janet Hamilton, Detrich Reeves, Brittany Hamilton, Keaton Merlos, Trinity Merlos, and Theresa Merlos; also a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
