Mrs. Lorene Bare

Mrs. Lorene Bare age 88, of Jefferson, NC died Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Ashe Memorial Hospital in Jefferson. Mrs. Bare was born on June 4, 1929 in Ashe County. Mrs. Bare was preceded in death by her parents, Everette and Ollie Lambert Farrington, her husband, Richard Bare and brother, Richard Farrington. Mrs. Bare enjoyed working in her yard, gardening and flowers. Above all she was a loving mother and grandmother who always worked hard to care for her family. Mrs. Bare loved to sing and spend time with her family. She was known for her cooking, especially the pies she baked.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at 4:00 pm at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by her grandchildren. Burial will follow in Roans Creek Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm one hour prior to the service on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Badger Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bare is survived by, two daughters: Brenda Bare and husband Ray of Concord & Linda Copus and husband Dick of West Jefferson, one son: Bobby Bare of Jefferson and sister, Joann Walker of Wilkesboro, NC also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
