Minnie Louise (Worley) Grubb

Minnie Louise Worley Grubb, age 90 of Todd, died Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Ashe Memorial Hospital.  She was born October 15, 1929 in Ashe County, daughter of Joseph Henry Worley and Mary Jane (Jenny) Wood Worley of Todd, NC.  Minnie was an active member of Beaver Creek Christian Church from an early age and her passion was for funding the mission field.  She married Glenn V. Grubb in 1946 and together they had five children.  After living in High Point for a few years she returned to Ashe County to live the rest of her life.  She was employed at Sprague Electric of Lansing for 30 years.  She enjoyed housekeeping, canning, gardening and visiting the sick and elderly of her community.  She could be counted on to take food to the sick and needy.  Her banana bread was given out to the house bound.  She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Carmen Moretz, Ora Dean Worley, Airetta (Sis) Houck and Gladys W. Davis.

Mrs. Grubb will lie in state from 11:00 am -1 pm Friday, October 9, 2020 at Beaver Creek Christian Church.  Funeral services will be private.

Minnie is survived by sons, Michael W. Grubb and wife, Pat, Glenn Allen Grubb and wife Pam all of Boone and David K. Grubb and wife Penny of Todd, daughters, Debbie G. Marion and husband Scott of Clemmons and Rachel G. Anglin and husband David of Boone, grandsons, Jason T. Grubb and wife Callie, David Grubb and Brett Grubb, granddaughters, Jenny G. Hoffman and husband Zach and Molly Marion.  Great grandchildren, Canaan David Hoffman and Ada Hoffman. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to International Disaster Emergency Service, 355 Park 32 West Dr., Noblesville, IN  46062.
