Mattie Mae (Lewis) Lefevers

Mattie Mae Lewis Lefevers, age 94 of Creston, died on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Margate Health and Rehab. Mrs. Lefevers was born on June 6, 1926 in Ashe County to Ben and Litha Brackins Lewis. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Franklin Lefevers; all her brothers and sisters; a son, James Franklin Lefevers, Jr.; and a grandchild, Leslie Lefevers.

Mrs. Lefevers was a member of Riverview Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, embroidery, and reading. Anyone who knew her would say she was a special lady.

Mrs. Lefevers is survived by:  a son, Robert Lefevers and wife Pat of Creston; two grandchildren, Jamie Lefevers and Angie Norris; four great-grandchildren, Sage Norris, Brittany Slate, Tasha Absher, and Vincent Howell; three great-great-grandchildren; a special friend, Tammy Miller; a nephew she thought of as a son, Jimmy Lefevers; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 19, 2020 at 11:00 am at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens by Rev. Russell Hart.
