Marie (Turnmire) Goss

Marie Goss, age 64 of Jefferson passed away Monday, May 8, 2023 at Margate Health and Rehab.  Mrs. Goss was born October 28, 1958 in Ashe County to the late Major and Effie McCoy Turnmire.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Tony Goss and sister, Brenda Sheets.  She loved her children and grandson very much.  She enjoyed growing flowers, shopping and spoiling her granddogs.

Celebration of life services will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 12:00 – 3:00 pm at her daughter Carol’s home at 2558 NC Hwy. 16 South in Jefferson.

Mrs. Goss is survived by, son, Ivory Goss of Jefferson, daughters, Carol Denny (Travis) of Jefferson and Wendy Crouse (William) of Ennice, brother, Worth Turnmire of Sparta, sisters, Mary Farmer of Jefferson, Laura Dillard (Bobby) of Crumpler and Shelby Holman and Linda Turnmire both of Lansing, step-brothers, Richard and John Turnmire and grandson, Nathaniel Denny. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
