Mamie Lambert Miller

Mamie Lambert Miller, age 95 of Glendale Springs passed away on Monday morning at Westwood Hills Nursing Home.  Mrs. Miller was born on Friday, August 24, 1923 in Ashe County, North Carolina to the late Lee and Molley Emaline Absher Lambert.  In addition to her parents Mamie was also preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Miller along with thirteen brothers and sisters.  Mrs. Miller retired from Hane's Knit products, she enjoyed gardening, canning and cooking.  Mamie was a member of Orion Baptist Church and she loved spending time with her family.

The Miller family would like to give a special thank you to the nursing staff of Westwood Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their excellent care and support for Mamie over the last four years.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her son, Darrell Miller and his wife Anne of Wilkesboro, North Carolina as well as her granddaughter, Amy Miller Christofer and husband, Nick of Wilton, Connecticut.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday morning, June 12, 2019 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel at 11:00 by Rev. Don Robertson.  Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 one hour prior to the service at Ashelawn.

Flowers will be appreciated or memorials may be made in Mamie’s name to a charity of the donor’s choice.
