Lionel Dale Francis

Lionel Dale Francis, age 67 of Grassy Creek died Sunday, November 22, 2020 at his home.  Lionel was born March 23, 1953 in Ashe County to the late Oscar and Hessie Barker Francis.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a sister, Louvon Francis.  He was a US Army veteran and a retired truck driver.  Mr. Francis was a member of Silas Creek Baptist Church.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, November 27, 2020 in the Howell Hill Cemetery by Rev. Tommy Wurth and Rev. Joey McClure.

Mr. Francis is survived by his wife, Ella Mae Greer Francis. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
