Leonard Jackson Severt

Leonard Jackson Severt, age 93 of Jefferson, died Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Mr. Severt was born June 30, 1927 in Ashe County to the late Thurman and Sallie Miller Severt.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Ida Burgess Severt, infant daughter, Juanita Severt, brothers, Arvil, Earl and Bryant Severt and sister, Blanche Severt.

Mr. Severt will lie in state on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 2:00-5:00 pm at Badger Funeral Home.

Mr. Severt is survived by his son, Jackson Severt and wife Cindy of Charlotte, brothers, Odell, James and Wayne Severt all of Wilkes County and sister, Ruth Lyalls of Jefferson. One grandchild and several nieces and nephews also survive.
