Lawrence Ray Dillard

Lawrence Ray Dillard, better known as Ray, age 63 of West Jefferson, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at his home.  Mr. Dillard was born April 9, 1958 in Iredell County to the late Johnson and Alene Hamm Dillard.  Ray was a member of Smethport Baptist Church.  He loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them.  He enjoyed hunting in his spare time.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Monday, April 11, 2022 at Smethport Baptist Church by Rev. Lloyd Day and Rev. Phil Arnold.  Burial will follow in the Dillard Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 12:00 noon prior to the service.

Mr. Dillard is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Dillard (fiancé Hunter) and Rachel Robbins all of West Jefferson, four brothers, Clarence (Sandra), Garland, Joe (Sarah) and Jerry Dillard (Shalane) all of West Jefferson and grandson, Ty Deal. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
