Joyce Elaine (Hatcher) Stewart

Joyce Elaine Hatcher Stewart, age 73 of West Jefferson, died July 5, 2021 at Ashe Memorial Hospital.  Mrs. Stewart was born November 6, 1947 in Ventura, CA to the late Richard and Kathleen Davis Hatcher.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Daryl Stewart and brother, Richard Hatcher Jr.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Joyce was a member of Appalachian Church.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm, Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Appalachain Church by Rev. Steve Ashley.

Mrs. Stewart is survived by, two daughters, Deanna Krips of West Jefferson and Sheryl Stewart of CA, two sons, Richard and Robert Stewart both of CA, two brothers, Tom Hatcher of CA and Danny Hatcher of WA.  14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
