Jimmy Dean Gilley

Jimmy Dean Gilley, age 58 of Lansing, passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at his home. Mr. Gilley was born on September 28, 1962 in Ashe County to Lester and Bertie Perry Gilley. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Ricky Gilley, and a grandson, Liam Gabriel Wood. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding 4-wheelers and motorcycles.

Mr. Gilley is survived by:  his fiancee, Jacqueline Weaver of Lansing; two sons, Brandon Gilley of Alleghany County, and David Lewis Gilley of West Jefferson; one daughter, Ashley Weaver Wood of West Jefferson; two brothers, Jerry Gilley and wife Polly of Jefferson, and Kenny Gilley of Wilkesboro; three sisters, Wanda Dollar and husband Bernard of Jefferson, Brenda Ham and husband Gary of Lansing, and Linda Bennett and husband Ricky of Lansing. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, March 7, 2021 at 1:30 pm at the Burnt School House Cemetery in Creston by Minister David Lyalls. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at the cemetery prior to the service.
