Jerry Lynn Roark

Jerry Lynn Roark, age 70 of Creston, North Carolina, died Saturday, May 23, 2020 at his home. Mr. Roark was born in Johnson County, Tennessee on Tuesday, November 1, 1949 to the late Raymond Jonathan and Wilma Vergie Roark.  Jerry is also preceded in death by a grandson, David Lewis and a nephew, Kevin Mahala.  Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his garden.  He also liked to visit with friends and neighbors.

Mr. Roark is survived by two daughters, Penny Roark Hutchinson and husband Tony of Trade, TN and Cynthia Lynn Price of Zionville, one brother, Terry Roark of Trade, TN, one sister, Nelda Mahala of Mountain City, TN, four grandchildren, Kaya Hutchinson, Anthony Hutchinson, Keith Stanley and Scott Lewis, one great-granddaughter, Arya Harmon.  Also surviving are two nieces, April Shelton and Regina Mahala, and one great-nephew, Kevin Shelton.

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 29, 2020 at 12:00 pm at Mountain View Methodist Church Cemetery in Creston, North Carolina by Brother Anthony Roark and Rev. Junior Seatz.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
