Jackolene (Phillips) Roark

Jackolene Phillips Roark age 87 of Creston passed away Friday morning September 4th at Forest Ridge Assisted Living.

Mrs. Roark was born on December 14th, 1932 to Eugene and Mildred Phillips in Ashe County NC. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Ralph Roark, an infant son, an infant grandson, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

Mrs. Roark enjoyed sewing, gardening, swinging and gospel music. She was a member of Valley Home Baptist Church. She loved her family and her church family.

Mrs. Roark is survived by 4 daughters Debbie (Jim) Eller, Karen(Roger) Trivette of Creston Peggy (Jimmy) Williams of Warrensville and Martha(Mike) Roark of Lincolnton. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren. 2 sisters, 2 brothers and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral service will be held at Valley Home Baptist Church in Todd on Sunday September 6th at 3:00 pm. Burial will follow in the Lawrence Cemetery.

Mrs. Roark will lie in state one hour prior to the service at Valley Home Baptist Church.
