Ilean Ham Greer

Ilean Ham Greer, age 91, of Lansing passed away Friday, April 22, 2022 at Margate Health & Rehab Center.  Mrs. Greer was born October 5, 1930 in Ashe County to the late Norman and Verlie Landreth Ham.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, William Smith Greer, son, Tracy Allen Greer and sister, Tressie Mae.   Mrs. Greer was a member of Mt. Zion Union Baptist Church.  She was a wonderful cook and was known for her amazing chicken and dumplings.  She also enjoyed sewing and reading.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Fred Richardson.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm prior to the service.

Mrs. Greer is survived by one son, William Greer and wife Jeanette of Lansing, one daughter, Ruby Miller and husband, Tom of Lansing, grandchildren, Alisa Taylor and husband Chris and Michelle Poe and husband, Ricky all of Lansing.  5 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
