Hazel Geneva (Turner) Blevins

Hazel Geneva Turner Blevins age 81 of Crumpler, died Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at Ashe Memorial Hospital.  Mrs. Blevins was born October 2, 1938 in Ashe County to the late Aubrey and Lura Sawyer Turner.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Earnie Lee Blevins and son, Gregory Leon Blevins. Mrs. Blevins loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She loved reading, taking walks and talking to friends.  She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Haw Orchard Baptist Church by Rev. Randy Lovelace and Rev. Mitchell Mash.  Burial will follow in the Haw Orchard Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 till 11:00 AM prior to the service.

Mrs. Blevins is survived by, daughters, Karen Richardson of Lansing & Teresa Richardson and husband Michael of Mouth of Wilson, VA, sister, Patsy Lumsden and husband Ken of Winston-Salem, brother, Edwin Turner and wife Pam of York, SC, grandchildren, Jody, Anthony, Mikey and Evan Richardson and Preston Holman, 9 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Flowers will be appreciated or memorials may be made to your local volunteer fire department.
