Obituary

 

Fred Junior Greer, better known as Junior, age 75 of Fleetwood, passed away, February 1, 2022 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.  Junior was born May 1, 1946 in Watauga County to the late Ward and Beulah Miller Greer.  He enjoyed hunting ginseng, fishing and cutting wood.  Junior loved spending time with his grandchildren and riding in the mountains with Ina. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Dean Shaw, Rev. Clifton Greer and Rev. J. D. Walton.  Mr. Greer will lie in state one hour prior to the service.  Burial will follow in the Bethany Community Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Saturday, February 12th at Badger Funeral Home. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing if attending.

Mr. Greer is survived by, his wife, Ina Ruth Shaw Greer, daughter, Emily Farmer of West Jefferson, son, Freddie Greer of Ohio and brother, Don Greer of Kannapolis, grandchildren, Hailey and Salem Ray. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
