Fairley Ray Davis

Fairley Ray Davis, age 70 of Lansing died Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.  Mr. Davis was born Monday, August 11, 1947 in Ashe County to the late Ted and Arlene Greer Davis.  In addition to his parents Fairley was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jackson and Billy Davis.  Mr. Davis was a devoted husband, brother, father and grandfather.  He treasured his time spent with family especially with his grandchildren.  Fairley loved to attend church and was a member of New Home Baptist where he would be anytime the doors were open.  He was a hard worker with a kind spirit and was always willing to spend time helping family, friends, neighbors and even strangers.  In his spare time Mr. Davis enjoyed fishing and camping.  Fairley always had a smile on his face and loved to tell jokes and stories to make others laugh, he was a giving and caring man who will be missed by all.

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda Ham Davis, one son, Danny Davis of West Jefferson, one daughter, Amy Killian and husband, Scott of Millers Creek, two brothers, Jimmy Davis of Lansing and Larry Davis of Crumpler, one sister, Janet Phipps of Crumpler.  Also surviving are three grandchildren, Devin, Hailey and Addison as well as several nieces, nephews and Fairley's lifelong friend and brother in law, Jay Dee Blevins.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 10, 2018 at 7:00 pm at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Elder Jonathan Stansberry, Elder Lundy Finley and Minister Danny Miller.  The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm two hours prior to the service.
