Elizabeth Ann (Conboy) Dunne

Elizabeth Ann Conboy Dunne age 89 of Jacksonville, FL and Ashe County, NC passed away on May 3, 2022 at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL. She was born in Quincy, MA on December 28, 1932 to the late John Thomas and Elizabeth Anne Bowen Conboy. Including her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, John Conboy, three children, John Patrick Dunne, Mary Dunne, Patricia Jane Dunne and one grandchild, Ross Mashburn.  Mrs Dunne was known to collect food recipes and enjoyed cooking and putting them together. She always enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Over the last 40 years she and her husband Jim have always cherished their time in the mountains of Ashe County. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Ashe County, NC and Assumption of Our Lady Catholic Church in Jacksonville, FL.

Left to cherish her memory are, her husband, James “Jim” Dunne, daughter, Elizabeth Mashburn (Fred), son, James Dunne (Linda), daughter, Eileen Hoy (Donald) and son, Robert Dunne; grandchildren, Megan Smith (Michael), Catherine Negarrd (Stefan), Patricia Thieman (Stephan), Morgan Mashburn, Coleman Dunne and Michael Dunne; great-grandchildren, Patrick Smith, Evan Smith and James Thieman.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 12:00 noon at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Jefferson, NC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
