Edward Wayne Waddell

Edward Wayne Waddell, age 76 of Crumpler, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at his home. Mr. Waddell was born on March 15, 1946 in Ashe County to the late James "Jim" Waddell and Lois Griffitt Waddell.

Mr. Waddell always wanted things around his house to look neat and clean, just as he did on the Blue Ridge Parkway where he worked for over 40 years. He was a true blue UNC Chapel Hill Tar Heel fan. He was a loving husband and father and a wonderful provider for his family.

Mr. Waddell is survived by:  his wife, Brenda Senter Waddell; one son, Chad Waddell of Winston Salem; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Primm of West Jefferson, and Betty Brinegar of Crumpler; cousins and friends, Barbara Barlow of Crumpler, Kathy Bower of Jefferson; John Waddell of Texas, and John Kilby of West Jefferson.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Doughton Park on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
