Edith (Stuart) Finley

Edith Stuart Finley age 82 of Lansing passed away Monday, September 7, 2020 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Finley was born in Ashe County, North Carolina on November 14th, 1937 to the late Worth and Ruby Adams Stuart.  In addition to her parents Edith was also preceded in death by her husband, Linnie Blaine Finley.

Mrs. Finley enjoyed sewing, cooking and collecting figurines.  Edith especially loved to spend time with her family.

Mrs. Finley is survived by her daughter, Julie Annette Mahaffey and husband Robert of Statesville, one brother, Edwin Stuart and wife, Norma Jean of Lansing, one grandson, Robert Mahaffey III, one great-grandson, Benjamin Mahaffey two sister-in-laws, Juanita Trivette of Damascus, VA and Vada O'Neal of Barnesville, GA and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 3:00pm at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Elder Lundy Finley and Elder Danny Miller.  Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery in Lansing, North Carolina.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00pm one hour prior to the service.
