Edgar Alan Roland

Edgar Alan Roland, age 91 of Warrensville died Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Margate Health and Rehab. Center.  Mr. Roland was born August 4, 1929 in Ashe County to the late Lee and Opal Osborne Roland.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Anna Lou Dodson Roland, daughter, Kathy Ann Roland and brothers, Dean and Paul Roland.  Mr. Roland was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.  He loved his family, his church and most of all he loved the Lord.  Mr. Roland retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority where he worked as a carpenter.

Funeral services will be private.

Mr. Roland is survived by, sons, Eddie Roland and wife Loretta of Independence, VA and John Roland of King, daughter, Brenda Veler and husband Richard of King, sisters, Nona Houck of West Jefferson, Bobbie Laney of Columbia, SC Evelyn Jones of Warrensville and Linda Bare of Fleetwood. 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
