David Allen Jones

David Allen Jones, age 72 of Warrensville passed away Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center.  Mr. Jones was born May 17, 1948 in Ashe County.  He was preceded in death by his father, James Herbert Jones, mother, Beryl Dollar Jones Powers and wife Betty Lou Richardson Jones.  He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and also served as a deacon.  He enjoyed restoring old cars but his favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Pleasant View Baptist Church by Rev. Dwight Shepherd.  Burial will follow in the Weaver Cemetery. Mr. Jones will lie in state from 1- 2 pm prior to the service.

Mr. Jones is survived by, two daughters, Vickie Seatz and husband Junior of Zionville and Brenda Anne Johnson of Lansing, one brother, Ronnie Jones and wife Sandy of Mount Airy, one half-sister, Sandi Walton and husband Lindsay of Charlottesville, VA, five grandchildren, Kristy Seatz Treva and husband Rick, Brittany Seatz McGuire and husband Scott,  Jacob Seatz Amanda Johnson and Dalton Johnson, three great-grandchildren, Jasmine Hernandes, Adalaya McGuire and Stella Treva. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
