Billy Lester Hart

Billy Lester Hart age 77 of West Jefferson, NC died Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Ashe Memorial Hospital.  Mr. Hart was born November 3, 1940 in Ashe County.  He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Hart, mother, Adalene Stansberry Hart Gambill, and sister, Patsy Goodman.

Billy served in the US Army.  He worked for 43 years for Johnson Motor Lines and White Volvo/GMC as a Journeyman diesel mechanic.  His hobbies included hunting and fishing.

Graveside services will be held at 1PM Friday, April 27, 2018 at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens with military rites by Rev. Jonathan Stansberry.

Mr. Hart is survived by his wife, Betty White Hart, daughter, Mary Elizabeth Rhinehardt and fiancé Ricky Oakley of Grassy Creek, grandchildren, Brittany Cline and Beth MacPherson and husband John and several nieces and nephews.
