Betty Lou (Trivette) Barker

Mrs. Betty Lou Barker was born March 10, 1936, in Konnarock, Virginia, to the late Marvin Trivette and Rebecca Hart Trivette. She was one of fourteen children. Betty slipped away peacefully Monday, January 6, 2020, at Ashe Memorial Hospital in Jefferson, NC with family by her side.

Betty married Barney Barker on October 1, 1954. They were married for eighteen years. She was a wonderful mother to four children. Betty was a devoted homemaker, always putting her family as a top priority in her life. She was known for her delicious home cooked meals filled with tremendous flavor and warm love. She worked as a senior companion for Ashe Services for Aging for 20 plus years. She had many clients she adored and took care of. Betty had a great love for Christ and served Him whole heartedly. She tried to apply His teachings in her life daily and always tried to be of help to others in need. Her friendly personality and tender heart will be greatly missed.
