Bessie Jane (Farrington) Hall

Bessie Jane Farrington Hall age 101 of Laurel Springs passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Generations Ashe. Mrs. Hall was born in Laurel Springs, NC on Wednesday, June 2, 1920 to the late John and Alberta Barns Farrington. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Alexander Hall, one son, Chester Hall and all her brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Hall was a hard worker ever since her childhood.  She was a caregiver to many throughout her life, both young and old.  Bessie was a wonderful mother to her children and enjoyed cooking and canning.  She was a great Rook player and will be remembered as the Laurel Springs Rook Champion.

Mrs. Hall is survived by: six children, Lenoir Darnell of Winston Salem, John R. Hall of Havre de Grace, Maryland, LouEva Belcher of Darlington, Maryland, Billy W. Hall of Laurel Springs, Wanda Miller of Millers Creek, and Loretta Johnson of West Jefferson; 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 2:00pm at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ed Hall, Rev. David Blevins and Rev. Brian Miller.  Burial will follow in the Roan's Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00-2:00pm one hour prior to the service.
