Wendell Linza Church

Wendell Linza Church age 82 of Archdale, North Carolina, formerly of Ashe County passed away peacefully at his residence with family by his side, on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.

Wendell was born on September 15, 1942, in Ashe County, NC to the late Roe Church and Blanche Cheek Church. In addition to his parents, two sisters, Margie Warrell and Genna Gay Wilcox; and two brothers, William Church and Carris Church preceded him in death.

Surviving Wendell are his wife of 16 years, Irene Ervin-Church; daughters, Wendy Robinson of Archdale, Angie Putman (Randy) of Kernersville; sisters, Myrtle Church, Janice Kimbro, and Joyce Sechrest (James); brothers, Kendrick Church (Marsha) and Royce Church; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren along with many step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Glenola Baptist Church, Archdale NC followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Charlie Martin officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Church Cemetery.
