Virginia "Jenny" Bare Blevins

Virginia “Jenny” Bare Blevins, age 75 of Jefferson, North Carolina, died Friday, June 5, 2020 at her home.  Mrs. Blevins was born in Ashe County, North Carolina on Saturday, August 5, 1944 to the late Cecil Oscar and Cleo Wyatt Bare.  In addition to her parents Jenny was also preceded in death by an infant sister and a son, Paul Blevins.  Mrs. Blevins was a member of Riverview Missionary Baptist Church.  She liked working on her computer and in her beauty shop as well as tending to her yard.  Jenny also enjoyed knitting and caring for her family.

Mrs. Blevins is survived by her husband, Wiley Robert Blevins, better known as Bob, two sons, Rob (Karla) Blevins of Warrensville and Timbo (Cindy) Blevins of Jefferson, three sisters, Mary Bare, Joan Bare and Martha Minton all of North Wilkesboro, four brothers, Dave Bare and wife Vickie of Purlear, Frank Bare and wife Shelia and Eddie Bare all of North Wilkesboro and Billy Bare and wife Linda of Jefferson.  Also surviving are four grandchildren, Hannah, Bryant, Kaitlyn and T.J., one great-grandchild, Spencer, sister-in-law, Myrtle Jean (Cecil) Blevins and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held on Monday, June 8, 2020 at 3:00 pm at Jefferson Cemetery by Rev. Evan Moore.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Riverview Missionary Baptist Church, PO Box 33, Creston, NC 28615.
