Tammy Renae Welch

Tammy Renae Welch, age 63, of Lansing, passed away Friday, January 30, 2026, at her home. She was born January 20, 1963, in Ashe County to John Stephen and Lois Janette Welch. Tammy was very gifted and enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She loved her family and her dogs. She was preceded in death by her father, paternal grandparents, and maternal grandparents.

Surviving is her mother, Janette Welch of Cumming, Georgia; daughters, Michelle Hicks and spouse Jason of Owasso, Oklahoma, Dusty Blevins and spouse Judson of Jefferson; brother, Sean Welch and spouse Teresa of Cumming, Georgia; aunts, Midge Collins and spouse Tony of Millers Creek, Sheila Richardson and spouse Larry of West Jefferson; several grandchildren; and one nephew.
