Rita Lynn Elliott

Rita Lynn Elliott, age 59, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024, at Alleghany Memorial Hospital. She was born to the late Carl Manley Elliott and Martha Gwen Mullis Elliott on Sunday, July 5, 1964, in Ashe County. Ms. Elliott was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Lansing, NC, and was a long-time member of Calvary Baptist Church in West Jefferson. She enjoyed reading her Bible, puzzle books, and talking to people on the phone. Rita loved her family and cherished spending time with them.

Including her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ronnie, Robert, and Roy Elliott, sister, Ruby Elliott Adkins.

Those left to cherish the memories of Rita include her brother Roger Elliott (Sherry); sisters, Ruth Roten, Retha Roark (Jerry Nowlin); special friend, Cindy Pruitt (Greg); several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Ashe Lawn from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Ashe Lawn at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in the Colvard-Bowers Cemetery. Rev. Russell Sheets will officiate.

The family will accept flowers, or donations may be made to Epilepsy Alliance NC, Piedmont One Suite 55401A, 1920 W. Front Street, Winston Salem, NC 27104.
