Raymond Gary Osborne

Raymond Gary Osborne age 87 of Warrensville, passed away peacefully, Friday, May 2, 2025 surrounded by his family at Margate Health and Rehab Center. He was a devoted family man, a loyal friend, and a beloved member of his community. He was born on January 18, 1938 to the late, Arlie Thomas and Hettie Price Osborne. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, sister, Mary Belle Strange, brothers, Paul, David, Riley and Cline Osborne.

Raymond was a member of Pleasant Chapel Baptist Church and also attended Temple Baptist Church. His strong faith guided him throughout his life and was evident in the way he treated others — with kindness, generosity, and sincerity.

Raymond had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He spent many happy hours fishing, working on lawn mowers, visiting flea markets, and tending to his fruit and vegetable stand at home. His green thumb and friendly nature and would be remembered for his warm smile.

He dearly loved his family and was especially proud of his grandchildren, whom he delighted in spoiling every chance he got. He shared a close bond with his siblings and treasured the time spent with them. A good friend and neighbor, Raymond was always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh, and his presence brought comfort to those around him.

Mr. Osborne is survived by, his wife of 65 years, Pauline Osborne, two sons, Rick Osborne (Leslie) of West Jefferson, Kenneth Osborne (Libby) of Crumpler, sister, Pam Neaves of West Jefferson, brother, Tommy Osborne of Denver, granddaughters, Brittany Williams (Elijah), Alicia Cruey (Josh), step-granddaughters, Ashley Kauffman (Landon), Laurn Moody, great-grandchildren, Magnolia, Solomon, step great- grandchildren, Adelaine, Madelyn, Brooklyn; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025  at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Elder Lundy Finley, Rev. Joey McClure, and Rev. Frank Woods. Burial will follow in Pleasant Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.

Raymond Osborne will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
