Patricia Ann (Shepherd) Baldwin

Patricia Ann Shepherd Baldwin, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2024, at the age of 77. She was born on April 30, 1946, in Grayson County, VA, to the late Charlie and Lura Shepherd. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Patricia Dawn Baldwin.

Patricia's life was characterized by her love for her family and her unwavering faith in the Lord. Before her stroke, she was known for her cooking skills and dedication to homemaking, creating warmth and comfort in her household for all who entered. Her devotion to her family extended beyond the kitchen, where she nurtured her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.

A member of Union Baptist Church, her love for the Lord was evident in her kindness, compassion, and unwavering commitment to her faith.

Patricia is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Jimmy Ray Baldwin, her loving daughters, Victoria Baldwin Shepherd (Tommy) of West Jefferson and Beverly Baldwin Jones (Mark) of Crumpler, her brother, Charles Shepherd, Jr. (Sharon) of Richmond, VA, and her grandchildren: Thomas Shepherd (Tammi), Megan Shepherd, and Zach Shepherd (Angela), great-grandchildren, Jason Daniels, and an anticipated arrival, brought her immeasurable joy. Also surviving is her cousin and best friend, Evelyn Blevins.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Friday, February 23, 2024 at Badger Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 12:00 noon at the Brooks Cemetery by Minister William Greer and Rev. Lonnie Carpenter.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Patricia will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her generosity, and her unwavering love for her family and friends. While she will be deeply missed, her memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
