Mayra Martin

Mayra Martin, age 61, of Hialeah, Florida, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Forsyth Medical Center. Miss Martin was born on August 21, 1963, in Havana, Cuba, to Pedro Martin and Mirta Fleita Hernandez.

Miss Martin is survived by her mother, Mirta Fleita Hernandez of Hialeah Gardens, Florida; one brother, Eddie Martin of Miami, Florida; two sisters, Teresa Leal of Jefferson, North Carolina, and Miriam Martin of Miami, Florida; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mayra loved the Lord very much and was deeply involved in her church. She majored in Theology at Miami Dade College, where she grew in her faith and commitment to serving others. She had a love for traveling, especially to the mountains of Ashe County, North Carolina, where she looked forward to visiting every year. Mayra was a joyful and loving person who was always ready to help others. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a generous heart, and a strong spirit that will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 11:00 am at Ashelawn Memorial Gardens by Rev. Herb Parunak. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
