Martha Hall Hamm

Martha Hall Hamm, age 77 of Lansing, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at the Woltz Hospice Home. She was born on September 23, 1948 in Grayson County, Virgina to the late Bill and Pauline Sebastian Hall. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Thomas and Ruby Hamm.

Martha cherished time spent with her family and loved family get-togethers, cookouts, and special outings to celebrate milestones and birthdays. She shared a particularly close bond with her cousins and a few special friends who were more like sisters to her, and those relationships brought her laughter, comfort, and lifelong companionship. Always ready for a new adventure, she enjoyed taking walks, finding a good deal, and making memories wherever she went.

Martha’s heart for helping others was evident throughout her life. She took great pride in her work as a nurse, where her compassion and dedication touched countless lives. Her servant’s heart extended beyond her profession through her volunteer work. Even in times of crisis, including during Hurricane Helene, Martha stepped forward to serve others, putting their needs before her own.

Mrs. Hamm is survived by her husband, Tommy Hamm, one daughter, Dana Holbrook (Todd) of Wilkesboro, two sons, Wes Hamm of Lansing and Doug Blevins (Vicky) of Virginia, and one brother, Ed Hall (Rita) of Mount Airy. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Kenzie Holbrook (Seth), Matthew Holbrook (Katelyn), Dakotah Blevins, Mason Blevins and Levi Blevins, one great-grandchild, Payton Holbrook and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 1:00pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Brother Ed Hall, Rev, Doug Halsey and Rev. Dan Hess.

The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00pm one hour prior to the service at Ashelawn.

Martha will be remembered for her kindness, her willingness to help, and the way she made people feel seen and cared for. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the love she shared, and the countless memories held dear by her family and friends.
