Mable Marie Denny

Mable Marie Denny, age 80, of West Jefferson, formerly of Lansing, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

She was born on January 27, 1945, in Jefferson, North Carolina, to the late Joe Denny and Mae Mahaffey Denny. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by, sisters, Joann Denny, Ruth May, Loula Massey and Minnie Robinson, brothers, Blane Denny and Gwyn Denny. Mable’s life was deeply rooted in faith; her love for the Lord guided her through every season of life. A devout Christian, she found great comfort and joy in reading her Bible, which she cherished dearly. She attended Calvary Baptist Church in West Jefferson as long as her health allowed.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 25,  2025 at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Kirby McNeil. Burial will follow in the Clark Cemetery in Lansing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Ashelawn.

Mable will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and the quiet strength she carried through life’s challenges. She touched the lives of those around her with kindness and compassion.
