Lori Viers

Lori Viers, age 35 of Laurel Springs, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Ms. Viers was born on December 20, 1983 in Ashe County to Benjamin Edward and Ellen Miller Viers. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Fletcher Miller; uncle, Dennie Miller; and aunt, Annie Ruth Sheets. She loved animals and enjoyed reading books, collecting toys, and gardening. She was a special and loving person.

Ms. Viers is survived by:  her parents, Benjamin Edward Viers and Ellen Miller Viers of Laurel Springs; one sister, Stacey Lane Viers of Laurel Springs; paternal grandparents, J.E. and Laura Viers of Laurel Springs; maternal grandmother, Gladys Miller of Jefferson; a lso surviving are several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 3:30 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Steve Viers. Burial will follow in the Miller Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm, one hour prior to the service at Ashelawn.
