Joshua Paul Busby

Joshua Paul Busby age 34 of Crumpler passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022 due to a motorcycle accident. He was born in Watauga County on April 14, 1988 to Gilbert Paul and Donna Shatley Busby. He was preceded in death by, his father, and a brother Daniel. Joshua enjoyed going hunting, fishing, working on cars and riding his motorcycle. He had a heart of gold, was a good friend to anyone he met and was a help to those in need. Joshua was known for his great sense of humor and from time to time could be found playing a trick or prank on someone. He loved his family dearly and to those that knew him best called him “Bubba”.

Mr. Busby is survived by: his son, Cole Busby of the home, his mother and step-father, Donna & Tony Billings of Crumpler, one sister, Roxanne Ising and husband Larry of Lansing, his girlfriend, Samantha Canter and her son Gavin; two nephews, one niece and a large host of friends also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Minister David Lyalls. Burial will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 pm Tuesday prior to the funeral service at Ashelawn.
