Josh Isaiah Latham

Joshua Isaiah Latham, a beloved son, brother and friend who brought immense joy to all who knew him, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.  Although he was just 18 years old, he had already carved out a niche for himself as someone with a magnetic personality and a love for various activities.

Born in Wilkes County, North Carolina on July 28, 2005, Josh lived a life that was as colorful as the many passions he held dear. He was a young man brimming with energy, enthusiasm, and an infectious love for life. Josh was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Walter Latham, great-grandmothers, Betty Jones and Kathy Ridenhour, uncle, Stevie Roark and cousin, Cody Keen. Josh could find happiness in the simplest pleasures and shared it generously with everyone around him.

Josh had a passion for shooting guns, finding excitement in the precision and skill required. His enthusiasm extended to the virtual realm, where he found enjoyment in gaming, particularly the popular game, Fortnite. Whether in the real world or the digital one, Josh was always up for an adventure. An outdoors enthusiast, Josh loved spending time in nature, whether it was a day at the beach or a casual ride on the golf cart. His free spirit and love for the simple pleasures in life made every moment with him memorable. Music was another one of Josh’s great loves. He knew so many songs and had the ability to sing anything that would come on the radio. Known for his talent for making everyone laugh, Josh’s humor could brighten even the darkest of days. His comedic genius knew no bounds; from his hilarious antics, funny faces, to his knack for inventing jokes and playfully mixing up words, he effortlessly lifted the spirits of everyone in his presence.

Josh is survived by his parents, Joshua Allen and Kacey Noelle Latham. In addition to his parents, Josh leaves behind his brothers Austin Latham (Chloe), Landon Easter, and Jackson Latham, as well as his sisters Alyssa Latham and Kloey Easter, paternal grandparents, Ronnie (Angela) Latham and Lucille Latham, maternal grandparents, Marty and Debbie Cook, paternal great-grandmother, Mattie Latham, maternal great-grandparents, Jesse Jones and Roger Cook (Betty). He is also survived by a wide circle of family members, including several aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him dearly.
