Ina Mae Scott

Ina Mae Sheets Scott was born on October 6, 1942, in West Jefferson, North Carolina. She peacefully departed this world on October 23, 2025, at Cranberry House Assisted Living in Newland, North Carolina. Ina is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Lois Jones Sheets and her daughter, Ina Patricia Torrisi.

Throughout her life, Ina embraced a multitude of passions and leisure activities that brought her joy and fulfillment. She was known for her exceptional skills in quilting and sewing, often creating beautiful pieces that reflected her artistic spirit. Additionally, Ina enjoyed spending hours reading and piecing together jigsaw puzzles, activities that allowed her to express her creativity and engage her mind. Ina enjoyed attending Bristol Baptist Church. Above all, she cherished her family, holding a deep love for each member that enriched her life.

Per her request no formal services will be held.

She is survived by her son, Eugene Sexton and wife Angie of Jefferson; her brother, William Arthur Sheets of Annapolis, Maryland; and her sisters, Mabel Segraves of West Jefferson and Matrel Jones of Lansing. Ina's legacy continues through her grandchildren, Christopher, Crystal, Stephanie, and Kaleb, as well as her step-grandchild, Chrystal Blevins, and her step-great-grandchildren, Kinzley and Graelyn. Several nieces and nephews also survive her, carrying forth the warmth and love she so generously shared.

Her memory will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her, and she will be deeply missed by all who were touched by her kindness.
