Daniel Joseph Gendron

Daniel Joseph Gendron, age 86 of Boone, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Watauga Medical Center. He was born on June 22, 1939, in Sanford, Maine to the late Albert and Hazel Gendron.

Daniel will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and the joy he brought to everyone who knew him. He loved playing golf, reading, and spending time outdoors helping his wife, Dianne, in the yard. Whether he was enjoying a game of golf, lending a hand, or savoring a simple moment at home while reading a book, Daniel approached life with warmth and grace.

Those who knew him best often said he was “the sweetest, greatest man,” a sentiment that perfectly captures his legacy of love and kindness.

Mr. Gendron is survived by his wife, Dianne Gendron, step-daughter, Christy Phillips of Boone, three step-sons, Donovan Phillips of Boone, Tate Phillips of Asheville and Branson Phillips and wife, Krystal of Dawsonville, Georgia. Also surviving are four step-grandchildren, Ellie Grill, Ava Phillips, Serena Phillips and Carson Phillips.
