Curtis A. Cline, age 87 of Lansing, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025 at home. Mr. Cline was born on May 5, 1938 to the late Braxton and Florence Smith Cline in Taylorsville, NC.
Mr. Cline is survived by his loving wife, Ann Lynn Templeton Cline; a son, Robert Greg Payseur (Rose) of Roanoke, VA; a brother, Larry B. Cline of Severn, MD; a niece, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Cline served in the U.S. Navy for six years. During that time he served on the USS Newport News, a heavy cruiser, and was involved in the Cuban Missile Crisis. After his Navy service, he worked as an electrician before going to work for the Xerox Corporation, retiring in 1994.
His dream, however, was to do some "farming". He and his wife Lynn retired to the beautiful mountains of NC in 2007, where he built a barn by himself, and designed and worked on their home.
Mr. Cline was an honest, hardworking, do anything for anyone kind of guy. He loved playing golf with his brother Larry, and "farming" his land. His grandchildren brought him much happiness.
He was a member of The Church at Meadowview. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice, Alzheimer's research, or The Church at Meadowview.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, May 9, 2025 at 3:00 pm at the home located at 915 Fairview Church Road in Lansing, followed by a meal.
