Clara Lee Landis Bell

Clara Lee Landis Bell, age 83, of West Jefferson, passed away on Sunday, December 14, at Margate Health and Rehab.

Clara Lee was born on July 5, 1942, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, to the late Clair Landis and Mamie Geneva Selmeyer Landis. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister whose life was centered around her family and those she cared for.

Clara Lee moved to Florida in 1960 after graduating from Northern Lebanon High School and she was married to Stephen Hoffman Bell, Sr. on July 28th , 1962. At the age of 8 years old, Clara Lee came to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She was a prayer warrior who always showed kindness to others and loved to tell others about how much Jesus loved them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Hoffman Bell, Sr.; a brother, Gene Landis; and sisters, Helen Moyer, Dawn Logan, and Judy Umbenhauer.

She is survived by her children: Lee Ann Martin and husband James, Stephen Bell, Jr., Matthew Bell and wife Darla, and Andrew Bell and wife Jessica; three sisters, Louise Allen, Gail Brightbill, and Shirley Glick; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews, all of whom will cherish her memory.
