Carole Lee Segraves Davis

Carole Lee Segraves Davis, age 77 of Deep Gap passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Watauga Medical Center. She was born on August 20, 1948 in Ashe County, North Carolina to the late Cecil Worth and Maggie Lee Brooks Segraves. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph William Davis and a brother, Johnny Calvin Segraves. Carole lived a life filled with simple joys, a warm heart, and a deep love for those around her.

Carole spent many years employed at Shadowline and Carroll Leather Goods. Later in life, she continued serving others by cleaning homes, a job she truly enjoyed until her health no longer allowed her to continue. No matter where she worked, Carole was known for her kindness and gentle spirit.

Carole loved the comforts of home—reading her favorite books, watching TV shows like Hoarders, Storage Wars, and The Incredible Dr. Pol, and cooking. She also enjoyed dancing, laughing, and taking trips to the beach, where she found peace and happiness. Above all, she cherished the companionship of her beloved dog, Pixie, who was always by her side.

Mrs. Davis is survived by two sisters, Pat Blevins of Creston and Brenda Simmons of Lansing, five brothers, Steve Segraves (Linda) of West Jefferson, Lee Segraves (Cara Lee) of Warrensville, Roy Segraves (Debbie) of Warrensville, Phil Segraves (Pat) of Laurel Springs and Roger Segraves (Mary) of Ennice. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at 2:00pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm one hour prior to the service.

The family kindly ask that no food or flowers be sent at this time.

Carole will be remembered for her caring nature, her strong will, and the love she shared freely. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her.
