Brenda Carol (Osborne) Roten

Brenda Carol Osborne Roten, age 76 of Warrensville, peacefully passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023 at her home. She was born on November 12, 1946, in Ashe County to Gaither Winfield Osborne and Ressie Marie Hall Osborne.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gaither and Ressie, her beloved son, James Roten, as well as her brothers, Garland Eugene "Bud" Osborne and James Darrell Osborne, and her sisters, Madeline Osborne, Iris Deane Allen and Veda Taylor. Though they have gone before her, their memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who remain.

Brenda's life was a testament to the power of family and friendship. Brenda found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Gathering with her sisters, sister-in-law, and friends to share meals was a cherished pastime that brought laughter and warmth to her heart. She found solace in the pages of books, a passion she nurtured throughout her life. The beauty of flowers never failed to capture her attention, and she delighted in the art of coloring, finding relaxation in the pages of adult coloring books. She found great joy in spending time with her grandkids, creating precious memories that will be cherished for generations to come.

Her unwavering faith was a cornerstone of her life. Brenda attended both Rich Hill Baptist Church and Mt. Paddy Church, finding strength and support in her community of fellow believers.

Throughout her working years, Brenda dedicated 28 years of service to Hanes Knit Products, where she undoubtedly touched the lives of many coworkers and friends. Later, she continued her journey at Oldham Manufacturing until the time of her well-earned retirement.

She is survived by her husband, Conley Roten; two sons, Robert Roten and wife Donna of West Jefferson and Ricky Roten and wife Toni of Warrensville; two sisters, Della Mae Birney of Elkton, Maryland and Reda Darnell of Lansing; her sister-in-law, Connie Osborne of Lansing; six grandchildren, David Roten, Nikki Dejesus, Brittany Nicholson, Luke Roten, Corban Roten, and Keilee Roten; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
